On September 22, 2007, a drunk driver killed my friend James Lockwood. James was a Mizzou student and had joined the army, he was a few days away from being deployed to Iraq, the one thing he really wanted to do, was to fight for his country. Being a photographer, James’ mother asked me to photograph the funeral for her and the family. I just graduating from college in May and there was nothing to prepare myself for this. This was one of the hardest things that I have done in my life. James was a great friend and I wanted to post some photos from the funeral as a Tribute to him. James we love you and miss you.

Hey Everyone,
I just recently graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with my BA in Photography. I’m currently looking to move out of Columbia in the next few weeks and start a new chapter to my life. I have been in Columbia going on 6 years now, and its time to move. I don’t know where I’m going and what I’m going to do, but there is a move in my near future. Lately I have been struggling with what I want to do in the field of photography. So this blog will be show casing all the types of Photography that I’m doing at this point in my life. Enjoy and let me know what you think.
Thanks JOHN DEPRISCO
